Cocon Robotics is a cross-border technology company building products across robotics, automation, digital signage (e-ink TRON), AI translation tools (Coconuts), IoT, and system-integration software for businesses in Japan and Indonesia.
We are expanding our software team in Indonesia and are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who can take ownership of building new products and maintaining our existing platforms. This is a key role where you will work directly with the COO and CEO to ship real products used across multiple industries.
You will handle end-to-end development across several active and upcoming products. This role requires strong technical ownership, the ability to move fast, and the discipline to maintain clean, scalable architecture.
While this is primarily a software role, you will occasionally collaborate with our robotics integration team, especially when building dashboards, APIs, and interfaces for hardware-based products.
- Build and maintain full-stack web applications (Next.js/React + Node/NestJS).
- Develop new products from concept to launch across:
- AI translation platform Coconuts
- Digital signage ecosystem TRON
- Robotics dashboards & system integration tools
- Internal management systems and automation tools
- Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs.
- Integrate third-party services (OpenAI, robotics APIs, hardware/IoT pipelines).
- Maintain technical documentation and system architecture.
- Handle ongoing updates, bug fixes, performance improvements.
- Ensure product stability across the entire software stack.
- Manage deployments (Vercel, Supabase, AWS, or similar).
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Work closely with the COO, CEO, and robotics team.
- Translate business needs into technical tasks.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on robotic interfaces and integrations.
- Communicate progress clearly and proactively.
- 5+ years experience as a full-stack engineer.
- Strong proficiency in:
- React / Next.js
- Node.js / NestJS
- Typescript
- SQL (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Solid understanding of API design, authentication, microservices, and system scalability.
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving and architectural-thinking capabilities.
- Must be based in Indonesia.
- Able to start ASAP.
- Based in Bali (big advantage).
- Experience with robotics integration or IoT projects.
- Familiarity with BLE/MQTT/WebSocket/serial communication.
- Experience with Supabase, Vercel, AWS, or Firebase.
- Start-up experience and ability to work independently.
- Basic understanding of Japanese (optional but nice).
- Strong ownership mindset.
- Fast, proactive, and reliable.
- Able to handle multi-product environments.
- Excellent communication skills (English or Indonesian).
- 100% remote work (Bali preferred).
