VertexOne is looking for an experienced, strategic Director of Marketing to lead our marketing communications and programs function. This leader will own digital marketing, content, integrated campaigns, PR, and events, driving brand awareness, predictable demand, and measurable pipeline contribution.

This role reports directly to the CMO and plays a key part in shaping and executing our go-to-market strategy.

Essential Job Duties:

• Lead integrated marketing programs that support acquisition, pipeline progression, and customer expansion.
• Translate corporate and product marketing strategies into compelling campaigns for utility buying groups.
• Oversee digital marketing, website strategy, content development, events, PR, and social presence.
• Build a predictable demand engine that delivers high-quality leads and measurable pipeline contribution.
• Partner closely with Product Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Engagement to ensure unified go-to-market execution.
• Develop content that spans thought leadership, product narratives, case studies, sales enablement, and digital assets.
• Lead strategy and execution for conferences, trade shows, and VertexOne-hosted regional events.
• Ensure consistent brand messaging and a seamless digital experience across channels.
• Manage budgets, tools, and vendor relationships to support scalable and efficient execution.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of specialists across digital, content, PR, and events.
• Measure and optimize performance through data insights, dashboards, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

• 7–10 years of progressive marketing experience in B2B SaaS, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in the energy or utilities industry strongly preferred.
• Proven success building integrated campaigns, digital programs, and content strategies that drive results.
• Strong understanding of SaaS marketing metrics, customer journeys, and multi-stakeholder buying groups.
• Hands-on expertise in marketing automation, CRM, CMS, and analytics platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.).
• Exceptional communication, leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience managing teams, budgets, and external partners in a fast-paced environment.
