Job Description
About The Project
We are developing Prometheus: fully autonomous drone swarms designed to operate in GPS-denied environments. Our technology utilizes onboard Large Language Models (LLMs) to provide cognitive autonomy—enabling drones to reason, plan missions, coordinate as a team, and interact using natural language, all without a pilot or external infrastructure.
The Vision: To become the European leader in intelligent drone swarms, establishing critical dual-use technology for Search & Rescue, defense logistics, national security, and industry.
The Status: We have a working technical prototype. We are now transitioning from R&D to a scalable business.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Operator to take Prometheus from a validated prototype to a global business. As CEO, you will own the execution of the vision, with immediate priorities on fundraising, scaling the organization, and securing commercial traction. This is a high-risk, high-reward opportunity for a deeply entrepreneurial leader ready to secure the initial funding and build the organization from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Fundraising and Financial Management: Lead the Seed and subsequent funding rounds ($3-5M+). Manage the P&L, burn rate, and ensure financial discipline.
- Strategy and Execution: Develop the strategic roadmap (for Board approval) and execute the go-to-market strategy, prioritizing high-value niches (SAR, Defense, Industrial).
- Commercialization: Convert pilot projects into recurring revenue. Validate business models (HW sales vs. SW/AI licensing).
- Organizational Leadership: Build and lead a world-class engineering and operations team. Foster a culture of ruthless execution and accountability.
- Hardware Operations: Oversee the transition from prototype to production, managing supply chain, manufacturing strategy, and quality control.
- Strategic Growth: Identify and evaluate strategic M&A opportunities.
- Proven Track Record: Experience scaling a deep tech, hardware, or robotics company.
- Fundraising Acumen: Demonstrated success in raising significant venture capital (Seed/Series A+) and securing grants.
- Hardware/Operations Expertise: Essential experience scaling complex hardware/software systems.
- Industry Network: Established connections within aerospace, defense, industrial automation, or robotics.
- Dual-Use and Defense Expertise: Proven experience navigating the compliance, regulatory, and procurement landscapes of dual-use technology within the EU.
- Governance and Maturity: Experience establishing robust corporate governance and managing complex stakeholder environments.
- Execution Focus: A ruthless "Operator" mindset.
- Founder-level equity (10–15%, 4-year vesting).
- Salary structure: starts lean and scales to full market rate after Seed, with the option of deferred compensation until the round is closed.
- Details to be discussed individually – this is a co-founder role, not a standard corporate CEO position.
Impact
