Job Description
Location: Fully Remote
Duration: 12-month contract, extensions possible
Pay Rate: $38.88-50.00/hr
Day to Day:
- Oversight of assigned business applications (approx. 100 applications across Holland America, Princess, and Seabourn brands).
- Manage enhancements for applications and ensure proper documentation (data flows, network deployment diagrams, technical documentation for deployments).
- Handle one product feature at a time; roadmap is managed at a higher level.
- Coordinate project phases including UAT, QA, and deployment following phased methodology.
- Work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to define scope and deliverables.
- Be on call after hours for urgent issues and provide incident recaps and process improvements.
- Create and maintain documentation for features and critical functionalities.
- Collaborate effectively across teams with minimal direction (self-starter).
- Adhere to corporate policies and HESS responsibilities.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum 3 years as a Product Owner or Analyst in Business Applications with enterprise-level experience.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, and project management principles.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools for metrics and reporting.
- Ability to document technical processes (data flows, diagrams, deployment documentation).
- Excellent communication skills—articulate, accent-neutral, effective with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, anticipate bottlenecks, and work independently.
- Familiarity with cruise or hospitality industry.
- Flexible and humble team player.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with HR applications or systems.
- Advanced certifications in Agile, Scrum, or Product Management.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
- Vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
- Knowledge of HESS standards and compliance.
