This role is suitable for thesis.
In this role you will support the design and rollout of initiatives that shape how our employees experience work, along key ‘moments that matter’. You’ll be responsible for gathering and analyzing employee insights, helping design and coordinate projects, and creating engaging communication materials that bring our Employee Experience Practice to life. This role is ideal for someone eager to combine Project Management, UX, Change Management in a global HR environment.
Your Role
Research & Insights
- Support employee listening activities by gathering and synthesizing feedback from surveys, focus groups, and other channels.
- Benchmark best practices in employee experience, onboarding, leadership development, and engagement.
- Help analyze data and translate insights into practical recommendations for the team.
- Contribute to the design of Employee Experience solutions, applying design thinking and human-centered approaches.
- Support the development of playbooks, frameworks, and toolkits for HR and business leaders.
- Assist in preparing and facilitating workshops, co-creation sessions, and stakeholder interviews.
- Help manage timelines, deliverables, and documentation for EX initiatives.
- Track progress of pilots and collect learnings to inform future rollouts.
- Draft engaging communication materials (intranet articles, newsletters, SharePoint updates, visual summaries).
- Support awareness campaigns to drive adoption of new EX practices.
- Help maintain team channels and knowledge repositories.
- Work closely with People Business Partners, People Leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure initiatives are aligned with business needs.
- Actively contribute ideas and fresh perspectives to improve how we design and deliver experiences.
You are currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master in Sciences degree at a University in Human Resources, Work and Organizational Psychology, Psychology, or any other People/Business related field.
- You are fluent in oral and written English.
- You are proactive and enjoy working in a fast changing environment.
- You are effective in stakeholder management and have great communication skills.
- You have experience with Excel and data analytics.
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
What We Offer You
- Monthly full-time allowance ranging from €500 to €700 gross, depending on your educational level. Part-time internships will receive a pro-rata allowance.
- Housing compensation for relocation near the office: €300 net for locations near Amsterdam, and €255 net for other Philips locations. To qualify, you must provide a rental contract from your landlord, and your regular home-to-work travel distance must be at least 50 km or your one-way travel time must be 1.5 hours or longer.
- Travel compensation of up to €145 net if you are not eligible for a free public transport card.
- Paid holidays for the duration of the internship term.
- Opportunity to purchase Philips equipment at our Philips shop.
- Part of our selection procedure is a HireVue online interview recording. We are not able to share the outcome of this HireVue interview but will use this as extra selection criteria.
- In order to be considered, you have to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation will be requested. Students from outside the EU enrolled at a Dutch university need to fill in a NUFFIC agreement – which needs to be signed by the student and the university.
