Job Description

Product Manager IV – Event Technology (Contract)

Location: fully remote

Duration: 1 year

Interview Process: 2 rounds

About the Role

The world's largest CRM software development company is seeking a Product Manager IV to support the strategy, execution, and delivery of mobile app features that power large-scale in-person and digital event experiences. This role sits within an event technology and insights team focused on building products that enhance attendee engagement, streamline onsite journeys, and support a multi-channel events ecosystem.

You will lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for key mobile features — from defining requirements and writing PRDs/BRDs to managing vendor relationships and partnering with engineering, design, and cross-functional stakeholders. The role requires strong ownership, clarity in communication, and the ability to independently drive timelines in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience in event technology platforms, event mobile apps, or other technology used in live event environments.

What You’ll Do

  • Own product requirements for mobile app features supporting large-scale and regional in-person events.
  • Write clear, detailed PRDs, BRDs, user stories, and requirements briefs.
  • Drive alignment with stakeholders across marketing, engineering, design, program management, and operations.
  • Manage and influence multiple external vendors and technology partners.
  • Lead cross-functional discussions, facilitate decision-making, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Maintain and communicate a product roadmap; deliver regular updates to leadership and executives.
  • Partner with engineering and QA to support test plans, release readiness, and post-launch analysis.
  • Coordinate with teams across security, architecture, and infrastructure to deliver complex initiatives.
  • Set up and lead meetings, track progress, and ensure delivery in an agile/scrum work environment.
  • Build enablement materials, contribute to long-term feature planning, and support ongoing improvements.
  • Work flexible hours for occasional cross-time-zone collaboration (EST hours preferred).

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of product management experience with significant ownership of mobile app features.
  • Strong background in consumer experience, digital engagement, or marketing technologies.
  • Proven ability to define requirements, write PRDs/BRDs, and manage multiple features at once.
  • Experience with vendor management and influencing third-party technology roadmaps.
  • Hands-on experience with agile/scrum methodologies.
  • Ability to drive timelines independently and operate effectively amid ambiguity.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations.
  • Ability to function as an individual contributor while collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with event technology (event mobile apps, registration systems, onsite engagement tools, wayfinding, session scheduling, etc.).
  • Background in technology consulting or professional services.
  • Agile/Scrum certifications.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments and navigating complex stakeholder groups.
  • Strong sense of ownership, adaptability, and professionalism — with the ability to bring humor and composure under pressure.
