Job Description


This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Product Owner in the United States.

The Product Owner will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering innovative healthcare technology solutions. You will manage the product backlog, translate complex business needs into actionable stories, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment. This role emphasizes strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and effective communication to ensure alignment with the product roadmap and business objectives. You will act as a bridge between stakeholders and development teams, guiding initiatives with multiple interdependencies and maintaining a client-focused, accountable, and team-oriented mindset. Success in this role directly impacts the quality of product delivery and enhances the overall client experience.

Accountabilities

  • Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog to align with strategic goals and the product roadmap
  • Elicit, document, and refine Epics, Features, and Stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams to coordinate initiatives and manage dependencies
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily scrums, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the product, providing guidance to the team and stakeholders
  • Assist in strategic planning and the preparation of lean business cases
  • Foster an Agile mindset within the team and across the organization


Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Information Science, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in product management within Agile environments, preferably SAFe
  • Proven ability to manage long-term projects with complex interdependencies
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and system architecture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into actionable user stories
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical thinking
  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry is highly desirable
