HRIS Analyst
6-Month Contract | 100% Remote (Must Support Eastern Time Hours: 8 AM – 5 PM ET)
We’re seeking an experienced HRIS Analyst to support our HR and business leaders by designing, maintaining, and enhancing people data products that inform strategic decision-making. This role blends technical HRIS expertise, strong Excel capabilities, analytical thinking, and communication skills to transform people data into meaningful business insights.
What You’ll Do
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations focused on HR and workforce metrics.
- Work heavily in MS Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, lookups, and data consolidation across multiple sources.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency across HR data systems, reports, and analytics tools.
- Manage large employee census files, oversee regular data updates, audits, and reconciliations.
Collaborative Problem Solving
- Partner with HR, Finance, and IT teams to identify workforce trends, challenges, and data needs.
- Ask clarifying and probing questions to translate business requests into clear reporting requirements.
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations that drive data-informed decisions.
- Communicate findings effectively across technical and non-technical groups.
Data Visualization & Storytelling
- Present complex analyses in a clear, concise, and visually engaging manner for senior leaders.
- Translate technical HR data into business narratives that highlight key trends and opportunities.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (degree not required).
- 3–5 years of experience in HR Reporting, HRIS, People Analytics, or related fields.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with HR technologies such as Workday, Visier, or similar systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across HR, Finance, and IT teams.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
