Background

The dCommerce Analytics Hub is responsible for building data, data science and analytics as a core capability to help the business become data intelligent and drive business and organization performance. The team will deliver advanced products at scale and work closely with the market teams to ensure that decisions in Unilever are augmented with insight & recommendations wherever possible.
Job Purpose
This role is part of the global dCom product team, which is tasked to deliver billion plus euros in incremental turnover across different online commerce archetypes. D-commerce Product Lead in D-commerce is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog for products, ensuring they align with business goals and customer needs. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders (across Business Groups and markets), development teams, and UX designers to deliver high-quality e-commerce experience and growth programs. The Product Owner acts as the voice of the customer, translating business needs into actionable user stories and driving the product vision forward. Role will drive AI initiatives like automated insights, real-time actions, media optimization, shopper analytics & insights, and agentic execution with retailers and media platforms etc. across pillars (Content, Retail Media, Performance & Execution, Supply chain)
Responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy:
- Develop and articulate a clear product vision and long-term strategy for our D-commerce platform, aligned with overall business objectives and market trends.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer journey mapping to identify new opportunities and user pain points.
- Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to measure product performance and inform strategic decisions.
- Shape overall plan on AI role within D-comm products
- Bring though leadership on AI insights, execution and agentic builds
- External scanning of best-in-class tools and relevance to Unilever (Build vs. Buy)
- Own, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, technical feasibility, and customer impact.
- Translate product strategy into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements for the development team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across marketing, sales, operations, and customer service to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Agile/Scrum development team, participating in all ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives).
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces and workflows.
- Ensure the development team has a clear understanding of the product requirements and priorities, clarifying questions and removing roadblocks.
- Accept completed user stories, verifying that they meet the defined acceptance criteria and quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organization, acting as a trusted advisor on all things D-commerce.
- Masterfully communicate the product vision, strategy, and progress, tailoring the message to various audiences from the development team to the executive suite.
All About You
Relevant Experience:
- 15+ years of experience with at least 10+ in Digital, Technology or Analytics products
- Technical expertise on Cloud platform (like Azure), Data Bricks, SQL, PBI etc.
- 7+ years of experience in eCommerce related roles with Pureplay platforms/retailers, Consumer Goods, D-commerce agencies, platforms or Consulting
- Direct experience with working data from online retailer like Amazon (Vendor central, AMC, Ads etc.), Media Ads data (YouTube & Meta etc.), external category data (Stackline, Nielsen) etc.
- Experience working with external Digital Commerce tools like Salsify, Adobe, Profitero, Pacvue, Data Impact, SEMRush, SKAI etc.
- Proven track record of defining product strategy and successfully launching and scaling large-scale digital products from concept to launch
- Exceptional business acumen and strategic thinking skills, with a natural ability to connect customer needs to business outcomes

Location
In June 2020 we announced our plan to consolidate a number of Unilever’s offices across the South East of England into a new Unilever campus in Kingston-upon-Thames in or around early 2025. However, on the 08 August 2024 we announced to our existing staff our proposal to retain our central Head Office in London, 100 Victoria Embankment (“100VE”) until our lease expires in 2027. As a result of this new proposal, we will be consulting with our existing staff, and new joiners who join during this period of consultation at 100VE, on the proposal made in August 2024. During consultation we will clarify the future location of each team and function. This means your role will either be based in 100VE until 2027 or in Kingston-Upon-Thames from early 2025. As we are yet to commence consultation on the proposal you agree, until such a time when consultation has concluded, your normal place of work as set out in the enclosed Statement of Terms & Conditions will be 100VE. You agree that on the conclusion of the consultation your place of work will be 100VE or 100VE until early 2025 and then Kingston-upon-Thames ("the locations") and you will be notified of which of the locations will be your place of work after that consultation ends.
Relocation to the UK
