Job Description
The Senior Business Analyst plays a key role in designing, analyzing, and implementing finance automation initiatives. This role bridges the gap between business and technical teams, ensuring that finance processes are optimized and supported by effective system solutions.
The Senior Business Analyst ensures that automation initiatives deliver measurable efficiency, accuracy, and compliance improvements across key finance processes.
Also support the PMO and Finance leaders by translating business needs into clear functional, technical requirements, maintaining documentation.
Responsibilities
Business and Process Analysis
- Collects, documents, and validates business requirements from stakeholders.
- Conducts fit-gap analysis for system or process changes.
- Maps current “as-is” and “to-be” business processes and identifies automation or standartization opportunities.
- Ensures all requirements align with business strategy and compliance standards.
- Translates business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
- Cooperates with cross-functional teams to ensure correct implementation and testing.
- Supports UAT (user acceptance testing) planning, execution, and defect resolution.
- Validates implemented solutions against initial requirements.
- Works with data and BI teams to ensure accurate data mapping, reconciliation, and reporting design.
- Supports data validation and integration activities between ERP and external systems.
- Maintains clear and structured documentation of all requirements, changes, and decisions.
- Communicates regularly with key stakeholders on progress, risks and issues.
- Benchmarks best practices in finance process automation.
- Supports post-implementation reviews and lessons-learned sessions.
- Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field. Certifications like the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) can also be helpful.
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis or a related area. Industry experience can be varied, but experience in technology, finance, ERP implementation or consulting can be beneficial.
- Skilled in process modeling (BPMN, UML, flowcharts).
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and collaboration tools.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and UAT (user acceptance testing) coordination.
- Analytical and structured thinking.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
