IT Support Engineer

United Kingdom (Fully Remote)

As an IT Support Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and developing IT infrastructure across global operations. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies across Cloud, RPA, and AI, supporting the continued growth of a world-class technology provider.


Key responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, remote access, and on-site visits.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across hardware, software, networking, and AV systems.
  • Collaborate with on-site technicians and third-party vendors (Cisco, Microsoft, QSC, Crestron, Biamp).
  • Maintain and optimize infrastructure performance, reliability, and security.
  • Support backup, recovery, and disaster planning strategies.
  • Ensure high service standards and minimal downtime in line with SLAs.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and recommend improvements where relevant.
  • Contribute to IT strategy execution, continuous improvement, and process documentation.
  • Manage multiple tickets simultaneously with strong time management and prioritization.

About you

  • Proven experience in an IT Support or Engineering role.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across diverse systems and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail for non-technical users.
  • Analytical, pragmatic, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Passion for learning and developing in modern IT and AV technologies.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, global environment with shift-based support.

Preferred skills

  • Degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Familiarity with AV/VC technologies (Crestron, QSC, Biamp, Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams Rooms).
  • Recognised certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL).
  • Experience with WAN, MPLS, VPN, or SD-WAN technologies.
  • Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
