Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) is seeking an energetic, motivated, and visionary ICT Infrastructure and Operations Manager to lead one of the region’s largest and most dynamic ICT Infrastructure teams.
This key leadership role will see you at the forefront of digital transformation, supporting world-class healthcare delivery for over a million people each year.
About The Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, ICT Services, you’ll provide strategic and operational leadership across the full spectrum of ICT infrastructure - networks, telecommunications, hosting, and end-user computing. You’ll be responsible for:
- Setting the strategic direction and planning for ICT infrastructure and operations, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and the Digital Strategy 2020–2025
- Leading a high-performing team of ICT professionals
- Managing service performance and ensuring technical excellence
- Providing expert advice and driving continual improvement
- Overseeing procurement, vendor management, and budget performance
- Supporting the delivery of major digital initiatives aligned with the Digital Strategy 2020–2025, including the transition to Cloud services and infrastructure for major facility redevelopments such as the John Hunter Health & Innovation Precinct and Manning Hospital.
About You
You’re an experienced ICT leader who thrives on innovation and collaboration. You’ll bring:
- A strong background managing large and complex ICT environments
- A deep understanding of infrastructure technologies, information security, and government standard
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and vendor management skills
- Proven experience implementing frameworks such as PRINCE2 and ITIL
- A commitment to service excellence and developing team capability
