Overview
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Office of Administration, Office for Information Technology (OA-OIT) is seeking an experienced Oracle Applications Administrator to support and maintain large-scale Oracle environments across multiple enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle Application Server, WebLogic administration, SQL development, and automation within a Linux infrastructure.
This position is responsible for architecting, configuring, and maintaining Oracle middleware and applications while ensuring performance, reliability, and security across environments.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Oracle Application environments, including installation, configuration, and tuning.
- Architect and install Oracle WebLogic Server on Linux systems.
- Support Oracle SOA Suite deployments and integrations.
- Perform regular patching and upgrades of Oracle products.
- Manage deployments using Jenkins or related automation tools.
- Develop and troubleshoot using Oracle SQL, SQL+, and Oracle development tools.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, DBA, and application development teams to support production and non-production environments.
- Monitor system performance, ensure uptime, and resolve application or server-related issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain detailed documentation for configurations, patching, and deployments.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years working with the Oracle Application Suite.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle SQL / SQL+.
- Strong experience with Oracle Application Server and WebLogic administration in large enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with Oracle SOA Suite, deployment automation (Jenkins), and Linux-based WebLogic installations.
- Proven experience performing patching, upgrades, and environment maintenance for Oracle middleware and application components.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; ability to collaborate in a cross-functional technical environment.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and CI/CD best practices.
- Experience with large government or enterprise Oracle environments.
- Exposure to ITIL or change management frameworks.
