About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist specializing in digital transformation and Generative AI (Gen AI) initiatives to join our Global Data & Analytics team. This pivotal role involves leveraging advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, and Gen AI techniques to enhance our digital channels, including product discovery, personalization, and customer engagement. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing innovative AI-driven solutions such as language and vision models, intelligent recommendation systems, and semantic search functionalities. Your expertise will be vital in monetizing clickstream and customer data to deliver personalized messaging, conducting in-depth customer analyses, and optimizing omni-channel sales strategies. Collaborating closely with our Digital and Decision Analytics teams, you will help shape a comprehensive view of the business landscape, elevating every touchpoint of the customer journey from online browsing to order fulfillment and customer service. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and R
- Experience with big data platforms, cloud-based ML/AI services, and MLOps best practices
- Familiarity with Databricks and MLflow
- Experience with foundational text, vision, and multimodal models
- Hands-on experience with fine-tuning foundational models and generative AI frameworks such as Hugging Face, Google Vertex AI, Azure AI Foundry, and LangChain
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach, ownership mindset, and a keen willingness to learn
- Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and work independently
- Commitment to continuous professional growth in digital and Gen AI analytics
Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative machine learning and Gen AI solutions to enhance product and content discovery, personalization, and customer engagement across digital channels
- Develop and deploy generative AI models, including language and vision models, to automate and improve digital customer experiences
- Build predictive models such as propensity, lifetime value, customer affinity, and churn models tailored for e-commerce applications
- Apply advanced modeling techniques including classification, generalized linear models, decision trees, time-series forecasting, clustering, survival analysis, deep learning, and transformer architectures
- Integrate new data sources and modalities—such as clickstream data, text, images, and audio—into machine learning and Gen AI pipelines
- Identify opportunities to increase conversion rates, reduce operational costs, and drive revenue through data-driven solutions
- Serve as an advanced analytics subject matter expert, providing guidance and best practices across teams
- Identify cross-channel and cross-platform optimization opportunities related to customer behavior, product performance, market trends, promotions, and pricing strategies
- Promote data-informed decision-making, ensuring data integrity and collaborating with Data Engineers to develop scalable, reliable solutions
- Stay current with emerging trends in Gen AI, machine learning, and digital analytics, sharing insights and best practices with the team
