Linux System Administration (Remote - India)

In this role, you will manage and maintain Linux-based server environments, ensuring stability, security, and high performance across hosting platforms. You will handle system monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization, while working closely with cross-functional teams to support business-critical applications. This role offers the chance to apply your expertise in Linux administration, scripting, and server hardening to maintain seamless operations. You will also be responsible for implementing security protocols, automating routine tasks, and supporting system upgrades and deployments. Accountabilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Linux servers to ensure reliability and performance
• Manage hosting environments using cPanel/WHM, Apache, Nginx, and MariaDB/MySQL
• Develop and maintain Bash/Shell scripts for automation and operational efficiency
• Monitor server health using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, and standard Linux utilities (top, iostat)
• Troubleshoot server and service-level issues, including DNS, email, and web services
• Implement security measures such as firewalls (CSF/IPTables), malware scanning, SSL installation, and server hardening
• Support email deliverability and ensure compliance with security protocols
• Collaborate with teams to resolve operational challenges and improve system processes
  
  
  

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Linux server administration
• Strong expertise with cPanel/WHM and hosting platforms
• Proficient in Bash/Shell scripting and Linux command-line operations
• Solid understanding of core Linux services: DNS, Apache/Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB, Exim/Postfix
• Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting methodologies
• Knowledge of firewalls, malware scanning tools (ClamAV, Maldet), and server hardening techniques
• Familiarity with SSL certificates, email deliverability, and security best practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment
