The position also supports Workday updates, monitors assignment-related data, and identifies opportunities to improve global mobility processes and procedures.

Job Description

The Global Mobility HR Support Specialist is a key contributor to the day-to-day operations of Goodyear’s Global Mobility team, supporting international relocation programs and ensuring compliance with global standards. This role is responsible for initiating and coordinating relocation assignments with service providers for tax, immigration, and mobility services, while liaising with internal teams such as Payroll, Compensation, and HR to maintain alignment on assignment timelines and details. The specialist tracks all assignment tasks, provides regular status updates to Global Mobility Leads and HR Business Partners, and ensures accurate input of assignment-related job changes into Workday. Additional responsibilities include maintaining organized assignment documentation, identifying opportunities for process improvement, updating SOPs, and serving as a backup support for counterparts in other regions to ensure consistent operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Initiate and coordinate international assignments with service providers, including necessary forms, approvals, and documentation.
  • Partner with service providers to ensure all assignment tasks are completed accurately and on time, adhering to global procedures.
  • Liaise with internal teams (Payroll, Compensation, HR) to confirm alignment on assignment start/end dates, extensions, and permanent transfers.
  • Maintain Workday records for all assignments, localizations, and transfers; support semi-annual allowance updates.
  • Monitor and report on assignment progress, providing regular status updates to Global Mobility Leads and HR Business Partners.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, update SOPs, and share best practices across regions.
  • Organize and maintain comprehensive assignment documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HR support, operations, or global mobility
  • Experience in a shared service or international HR environment preferred
  • Familiarity with compensation and payroll processes and timelines
  • Experience managing tasks or projects with regular status reporting
  • Proven ability to work with external vendors, benefits providers, or payroll vendors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented, with strong business acumen and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
